PRIMARY students took part in a paper racing car challenge at Butler College this term.

The college hosted its inaugural F1 in Schools Jaguar Challenge on March 27, and primary schools sent teams of four Year 5 and 6 students to take part.

Teacher Kim Bedworth said the challenge saw for primary students work with mentors to build and race paper carbon dioxide dragster cars.

“It is part of our growing STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) program,” she said.
