Butler College teens get feel for parenting

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

More than 70 Butler College students who are studying a family and community unit took ‘virtual babies’ into their care for 48 hours.

The school contracted Red Ginger Services to deliver a parenting and pregnancy workshop on July 25, and then rolled out the virtual baby program last week.

The program allowed students to experience and gain an insight into what parenting was all about, sharing what they learnt and talking about sexual health and parenting.
