IRENE McCormack Catholic College in Butler has supported the St Vincent De Paul Society’s Christmas appeal again this year by having every care group collect donations.

In just over one week, the college community filled hampers with Christmas and pantry goodies, which it is giving to the charity to help families experiencing difficulties.

Service learning co-ordinator Cherie Milne said she had been overwhelmed by the generosity of the school community and would be greatly appreciated by others.

The Vinnies Christmas Appeal runs annually to support the people going through hard times over the Christmas period, providing food hampers, emotional support, toys and gifts. Donations close on |December 16. Visit www.vinnies.org.au for more.
