The six Quinns Rocks Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade Cadet Unit members will represent WA in the Australian Fire Cadet Championships in Myuna Bay near Newcastle from September 30 to October 3.

Over three days they will compete in eight events, including a portable pump relay, hose and hydrant drill, station response and knapsack drill, and a tanker and ladder challenge.

With costs of up to $15,000, the unit will raise funds by holding a family fun day at Merriwa Shopping Centre on Jenolan Way on Saturday, July 13.
