Coastal protection group, Save Our Foreshore: Quinns Beach, petition Wanneroo council to address graffiti

Coastal protection campaigner Natalie Sangalli asked for both at the November 11 Wanneroo City Council meeting.

She said members of the ‘Save Our Foreshore: Quinns Beach’ Facebook group had been discussing solutions to the problem of vandalism recently.

‘There has been a lot of discussion about graffiti that’s been happening around the place,’ she said.

‘They (residents) would like to see the public toilet block have a street art mural on there to reduce graffiti.

‘It would brighten up our beach front.’

Mrs Sangalli also asked the City to consider installing lights at Frederick Stubbs Park so residents could use it at night, saying the presence of families could help deter anti-social behaviour.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the ideas put forward could be discussed.
