PETITIONERS have called for higher speed limits on Connolly Drive and traffic signals on Hester Avenue.

A 759-signature petition presented at the City of Wanneroo’s August council meeting called for the speed limit to be increased from 60km/h to 70km/h along the northern end of Connolly Drive.

Another 228-signature petition presented at the same meeting asked that traffic signals be installed at the Hester Avenue and Baltimore Parade junction in Merriwa.

It said signals would “improve safety and access when residents, visitors and service vehicles of (RAAFA) Cambrai retirement village are entering and exiting the village at Burton Drive”.
