Candle cause of damage

Emergency services received a 000 call about 10.20pm, with reports a fire had engulfed a Brazier Road house.

It took career firefighters from Belmont, Butler, Osborne Park and Joondalup less than an hour to contain the blaze with help from a Yanchep Volunteer Fire and Rescue crew.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said multiple teams were needed to prevent the fire spreading to nearby homes.

‘It was to make sure they got on top of it quickly,’ he said.
