The City of Wanneroo is inviting residents to catch up over coffee to discuss its coastal management plan.

THE City of Wanneroo will hold catch-up sessions over coffee on its coastal hazard risk management adaptation plan this week.

The plan relating to the Quinns Rocks-Mindarie foreshore is out for public consultation until September 8, with catch-up sessions planned at Portofino’s Cafe this Thursday and Saturday.

The City released a community survey earlier this month to find out why locals value the coastline in front of Lot 211 Quinns Road.

Results will help inform decisions on coastal hazard risk management and any future developments in the area.

Lot 211 incorporates Portofino’s, the Quinns Mindarie Community Centre and surf life saving club, plus the old Quinns Rocks caravan park site.

The August 17 catch up will run from 4-6pm and the August 19 session will be from 10am-noon, with bookings essential. To attend either, call David Cox on 9405 5478 or email david.cox@wanneroo.wa.gov.au .
