ABOUT 70 people attended a dedication for the Quinns Rocks RSL’s cenotaph recently.

RSL WA president Graham Edwards addressed the service and Salvation Army Major Nikki Novell said the prayers.

Among the guests were RSL WA chief executive officer Phil Orchard and Peter King of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Quinns Rocks RSL president Peter Lofdahl told the Times earlier this year the cenotaph resulted from a $35,000 federal grant and would be lit up every evening.

The memorial was built on the eve of hosting an Anzac Day dawn service commemorating the Gallipoli Landing centenary. A Remembrance Day service will be held at Quinns Rocks Sports Club in Tapping Way tomorrow from 10.45 for an 11am start.

Yanchep RSL will hold its service at Yanchep National Park from 10.45am. Call 9561 1672 for more information.
