A TEAM of four northern suburbs men plan to throw out treats as they drive around WA in a chocolate treat-themed old car.

Mindarie’s Glenn Antonio has recruited three friends, Mark Oliver (Quinns Rock), Tony Logan (Quinns Rocks) and Craig Ivankovich (Carramar) for their first Variety WA Bash in Car 1302.

‘It’s the first time for all of us,’ Mr Antonio said.

Mr Antonio said they were inspired to get involved after his son Coby became the ambassador for the children’s charity Santa Fun Run last year.

Leaving Perth this week to start the bash in Exmouth on Saturday, the team have given their 1970 model Valiant an M&Ms-themed makeover.

‘Obviously there is a very serious side to it, but it looks like a lot of fun,’ Mr Logan said.

He said they had received plenty of support from local businesses, and would be handing out merchandise to children as they travelled, dressed up as the different coloured M&Ms.

‘It is going to appeal to the kids ” throwing out lollies,’ Mr Logan said.

‘All the sponsors have just been fantastic.
