SUMMER will heat up at Mindarie Marina this Saturday with the annual Chilli Festival taking place.
The February 25 event will feature about 20 market stalls selling everything chilli, including sauces, plants, spices, jerky, chocolate and olives.
The boardwalk will have street food stalls, roving entertainers and live music across two stages.
Children’s activities will include a jumping castle, inflatable slide, airbrush temporary tattoos, the big dig, bubble zone and a karate workshop.
There will also be a chilli eating competition at The Boat’s beer garden, which participants can register for on the day.
The Indian Ocean Brewery’s head brewer Jack Purser has created a chilli beer for the festival and will offer tastings.
Performers will include Wesley Goodlet and the Jamboree Scouts, then an Elton John and Rod Stewart tribute at The Boat.
