Members of the North Side Grandparents Support Group were among the audience at the Be Active Circus Joseph Ashton show, and received the additional funding after the final tricks.
President Rosemary Langford said the grandparents and children loved the show and were grateful for the donation.
‘This will go into our bank and will stay there until we have the full amount to buy a camper trailer and camping equipment so the grandparents can have a break and take their grandchildren on an affordable holiday,’ she said.
Satterley’s community and events officer Ella Pinkney said they hoped to partner with the circus to bring it back to the area again soon.
The three-week visit ended last weekend.
