Wanneroo City Council will consider a development application for 16 warehouses on Landbeach Bouelvard on Tuesday.

A COUNCIL report is recommending approval for 16 warehouses at 166 Landbeach Boulevard in Butler on Tuesday.

The Wanneroo council is due to consider the application for the warehouses at its April 5 meeting, with a staff report outlining submission and recommending approval.

The City received the application for the 6719sqm lot in November, and invited comments from nearby landowners in January.

“One submission was received which raised an objection to the proposal,” the council report said.

“The main issues raised in the submission are traffic; and bulk and scale of the development.”

The objector submitted that the two-storey development would be an “eyesore” and impact on the view of nearby homes.

“The application was compliant with all of the relevant requirements (including) setbacks, car parking and landscaping,” the report said.

“The development proposes the use of a variety of materials and colours as well as windows that will contribute to the building presenting positively to the streetscape of Landbeach Boulevard.”
