CONSTRUCTION company RJ Vincent & Co has won the $1.1 million tender to widen Neerabup Road between Connolly Drive and an access road to a hardware store.

The City of Wanneroo last month accepted the company’s tender submission for roadworks that tie into ongoing works to extend Neerabup Road to Wanneroo Road and widen Connolly Drive up to Lukin Drive.

According to the August 16 report to the council, 10 companies tendered, with RJ Vincent ranked highest in most categories.

“In particular, timing, staging and procurement of adequate |resources are key elements of this project, as the adjacent (Mitchell) Freeway works will be running concurrently,” it said.

“The proposed works need to be concluded well before the freeway extension opens to |traffic.

“RJ Vincent & Co is currently doing works in the immediate adjacent area and thus has a good appreciation of the requirements, which is likely to have contributed significantly to the quality of their submission.”

In February, the council awarded a $6.48 million contract the RJ Vincent & Co to widen Connolly Drive.
