THE City of Wanneroo has invited public comment on a plan for retirement housing on the former Atlantis Marine Park site.
The proposed local development plan for the Two Rocks town centre site indicates there would be retirement residential housing of varying densities on the block bounded by Enterprise Avenue, Sovereign Drive and Lisford Avenue.
The proposed R-codes include R80 and R60 zones that would allow for buildings up to five storeys, while a section of R20-R30 on the northern corner would allow for single or double storey homes.
The plans, prepared by RobertsDay, propose to create a public open space along the southern edge of the property, retaining the King Neptune statue in situ and the dolphin statue at the Lisford Avenue entry.

READ NOWIt also indicates there could be an opportunity to retain mature exotic vegetation in the centre in a potential drainage site.
The plan proposes provisions relating to building height, outdoor living areas, privacy and overshadowing for the retirement village.
It is out for comment until May 11 and can be viewed on the City’s website.
