City of Wanneroo welcomes $6m State contribution to revamp Two Rocks Marina

THE City of Wanneroo has welcomed State Government funding of $6 million to revamp Two Rocks Marina, with a community meeting planned for next week.

Mayor Tracey Roberts said the City was working closely with the Department of Transport to progress planning approval for the works.

“The City of Wanneroo is delighted that the Two Rocks Marina will be refreshed and regenerated to ensure it is better placed to meet the needs of our community long into the future,”Mrs Roberts said.

More information about the upgrade will be available at a community meeting on Wednesday, October 11 from 5-7.30pm at the Phil Renkin Recreation Centre, 59 Lisford Avenue, Two Rocks.

The department will set up a reference group in late 2017 to look at the long-term vision for the facility, including consideration of seagrass wrack accumulation and beach erosion around the marina.

People interested in being selected for the reference group can email tworocksmarina@transport.wa.gov.au.
