THE City of Wanneroo plants about 3000 trees a year, Two Rocks Yanchep Residents Association members heard at their June 25 meeting.

During discussion about improving the City’s tree canopy, councillor Linda Aitken said residents could volunteer to help at a winter planting event in Two Rocks this Sunday.

Cr Aitken said the event would be at the Forrest Grove reserve from 9am to noon on July 8.

The City is planning to hold a National Tree Day winter planting event with Quinns Rocks Environmental Group on July 29 off James Cook Avenue in Quinns Rocks.
