A CLARKSON family have been the first to buy a block in Jindalee’s Jindee estate for their growing family.
Chelsea and Wayne Cooke bought the 450sq m block ahead of the birth of their second child.
Mrs Cooke said Estates Development Company’s vision to create something different appealed to them.
“From the plans that we’ve seen, we thought it’s going to be very different,” she said.
“Another thing for us was to have that coastal feel.”
The couple have been working with the Jindee town architect to plan a single-storey house with a veranda at the front and garage at the back, fitting in with the design criteria for the estate.
Jindee spokeswoman Nicola Phillips said the developer expected to issue titles for the first 30 lots from August and finish the first stage of landscaping works in November.
“Each street will have its own unique landscaping; so planting on Limestone Street for example is different to that on Summer Terrace,” she said.
“One might have orange flowered shrubs and the other purple for example) giving each street its own distinctive look and feel.”
Planning for the estate started about 15 years ago and earthworks started last year, with an emphasis placed on fitting in with the natural environment.
The Jindee pop-up sales office is located on Kingsbridge Boulevard in Butler.
