Clarkson: police looking for two men who tried to rob liquour store

A MAN was lucky not to be seriously injured when a robber swung a broken bottle at his face at a Clarkson liquor store.

Police have released an image of two men they believe can help with inquiries into the April 29 incident.

Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said two offenders attempted to walk from the store without paying for bottles of alcohol about 10.20pm.

He said a 26-year-old staff member pushed one of the men, who dropped a bottle on the floor.

The offender slipped on the broken glass, but got up and swung a broken bottle at the staff member, slightly grazing his face.

The men were thought to be between 175cm and 180cm tall.
