Clarkson Primary School promotes Act-Belong-Commit message for wellbeing

Staff WriterNorth Coast Times

STUDENTS, staff and parents took part in a variety of activities during Clarkson Primary School’s third Mental Health Week.

The school hosted visitors to run activities promoting mental health last month, including Just Jump, an Act-Belong-Commit representative and SKIPS (Supporting Kids in Primary Schools).

Students learnt about mental health and ways to stay mentally healthy through classroom activities and discussions.

ECU social work student Elisabeth Cowan and school chaplain Laura Butshiire organised the program and aim to implement mental health strategies to create long term, positive mental health.
