Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

CLARKSON Primary School students are caring for their school environment by participating in Planet Ark’s National School Tree Day and Keep Australia Beautiful Week.

Years 1 and 2 students planted more than 56 bush tucker plants, grasses, shrubs and groundcovers in the school’s Heritage Learnscape area and around the school grounds recently for Planet Ark’s community tree-planting and nature-care event.

More than 300 students then undertook a lunchtime clean-up as part of Keep Australia Beautiful Week, with about 8kg of rubbish collected from in and around the school’s gardens.
