MULLALOO musician Sam Perry gave an insight into musical looping and beat-boxing at a Clarkson Youth Centre workshop on October 25.
“It was a real confidence builder for the younger kids and quite the interactive lesson,” he said.
“I started off with an example and then covered the basics of beat-boxing and the projection of effective sounds using only your vocal chords to create layers, the laws of looping and an insight into the equipment I’m using to make all of this happen and ended with all the students looping themselves with the skills they have learned.
“It’s basically a training course for the production of vocal music in a live environment.”
