CLARKSON model Renata Grandao is a national finalist for Miss Global Australia, representing WA at this month’s finals.
Miss Grandao said she gave herself a break from pageants to focus on studying after competing in Miss Teen Galaxy Australia in 2015.
“Going into my third year of a double major in journalism and corporate screen production at Curtin University, I have recently been feeling the crunch and thought that it was time that I did a little something for me, especially seeing as we have mid semester break coming up,” she said.
“I applied to be a part of the national finals of Miss Global Australia and was selected a few weeks ago as a delegate, representing WA on June 24-26 at the Subiaco Arts Centre.
“As part of the pageant we are required to choose a charity to fundraise and raise awareness for.
“I have chosen Kidzucate; it was an easy choice for me as I have been a youth advocate for the organisation for over six months.
“Kidzucate is not-for-profit, WA-based organisation that raises awareness and offers support and education for youth dealing with tough circumstance.
“We cover anything from abuse, bullying, domestic violence and mental illness.”
Miss Grandao said she and boyfriend Jackson Brennan, who was the photographer at her Miss Galaxy charity event, would host a photo shoot charity event on June 11.
She will also host a high tea for Kidzucate at Spinnakers Restaurant in Hillarys on June 20.
