Artists will exhibit various subjects and mediums, including encaustic (hot wax painting), from this Sunday, February 23, to Saturday, March 1.
‘It’s the first time we’ve been at the blend(er) for a few years,’ spokeswoman Su Bonsall said.
‘With 22 artists exhibiting over 30 pieces, there is sure to be something to interest everyone.’
Formed in 2004, the club meets twice monthly at Carramar Community Centre, enjoys an annual ‘arty’ weekend away and exhibits.
‘We are a friendly, approachable group of all ages and abilities from beginners to professional with a few husband and wife members,’ Su said.
‘All are united in their love of art.
‘A thriving club, we encourage members to be involved in club activities and have fun while producing their work.’
The Art of the North exhibition opens on Sunday at 4.30pm, all welcome.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 2pm.
