Coastal quick step grants

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

The "Coastal quick step" grants are for community groups doing smaller scale, one-off projects costing up to $1000 and will be available throughout the year.

Coastal and marine program co-ordinator Mic Payne said they would help fund coastal management activities and promote rehabilitation, restoration and conservation of the region's coastline.

Round seven of the council's Coastal Community Grants program is also open, with grants of up to $10,000 available.

In 2014, coastal grants were distributed across a variety of projects, such as the installation of interpretive signage at Guilderton and workshops on seed propagation and rehabilitation of coastal vegetation in Lancelin.
