Residents in groups such as Brighton Estate Residents’ Association (BERA), i60 Community Services, Neighbourhood Watch and sports clubs are gearing up for the 11th annual celebration, which this year will be called the Butler Community Open Day.

The event will be in Brampton Park with activities including face-painting, bouncy castles, amusements and sports clinics.

There will be a chill-out zone with beanbags, DJ decks and air hockey, plus art displays and garden workshops for adults.

Satterley Property Group is running this year’s event with BERA, and community development co-ordinator Amy Blundell said it would showcase the ‘fun, active and connected community’ that has grown since the estate started in 2000.
