Community digs deep

Mr Drake-Brockman said they had raised more than $1240 for the Leukaemia Foundation when he had his head shaved at Yanchep Community Pharmacy on March 16.

‘People keep bringing money in,’ he said.

Mr Drake-Brockman said the pharmacy often collected donations for various charities from its customers.

‘There’s people in the community who we deal with as patients and customers and friends who are affected and have been diagnosed with leukaemia,’ he said.

‘A lot of people have been affected by it.

‘We do things to raise money for charities; generally the community are pretty giving.’
