RIVERLINKS Reserve in Clarkson should have a $1.66 million sports amenities building and carpark by October 2017.

The City of Wanneroo council endorsed a concept plan for the building and summary of community consultation at its August 16 meeting.

The report to councillors said the building would have two 42sq m changerooms, separate toilets, two storerooms, a first-aid room, umpires room and a kitchen with an external servery.

There would also be 25 parking bays located south of the building, adjacent to Connolly Drive.

The reserve is used by Somerly Primary School and Quinns Football Club for soccer.

The report said following a tender process, construction would take place from November 2016 to October 2017.

The City received 26 submissions, with two not supportive due to concerns about potential anti-social behaviour, security and whether there would be sufficient parking.
