Dolphins delight at Yanchep, Alkimos beaches

WHILE a shark sighting caused concern at Quinns Beach today, dolphins delighted beachgoers in Yanchep and Alkimos.

Yanchep photographer Carly Sinden captured video clips of dolphins swimming at the lagoon about 11am on February 20.

“This morning whilst at the lagoon, these incredible bottlenose dolphins were playing along the shoreline, swimming up to everyone,” she said.

“They were there at around 11am and swam up and down the lagoon, were really playful and inquisitive – it was just an incredible experience.”

Alkimos residents also posted clips of a dolphin swimming in shallow water near the ship wreck on social media.
