Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

Yanchep Sergeant Jason Macander said there had been an increase in thefts recently, and investigations resulted in police executing a search at a Yanchep house on August 28.

“Five adult offenders were located inside the house and subsequent inquiries led to all five being charged with 21 offences,” he said.

Sgt Macander said the offences included aggravated burglary, burglary, possessing stolen property, theft and obtaining property by fraud, plus possessing methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

“We are currently working through the large amount of property seized during the warrant and have already identified the respective property owners from various suburbs north of Joondalup,” he said.
