Drugs, weapons and lizard seized in raid

A WOMAN has been charged with a number of illegal possessions, including a lizard, after a raid in Alkimos.

The 31-year-old is accused of being in possession of a small amount of cannabis, a laser pointer and a western netted dragon when officers searched her residence on February 17. Police also seized shotgun rounds and smoking implements.

Department of Parks and Wildlife officers seized the protected reptile.

The accused is due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on March 18 charged with three counts of possessing smoking implements, two counts of cannabis possession and one count each of the possession of ammunition and possession of a controlled weapon.
