Duo charged over Alkimos burglary

GANG crime detectives charged two men in relation to a burglary that occurred in Alkimos on Saturday.

WA Police allege that one man attempted to enter a house on Pangolin Grove by kicking in a door about 6pm on February 3.

“This was unsuccessful so he removed a glass window pane and two men entered the address via the window,” a police spokesman said.

“An occupant, who was inside the house at the time, was able to ring police from a rear room.

“The men searched rooms inside the house and a number of items were taken and placed in a vehicle parked outside.

“Police attended a short time later and arrested three men in the vicinity.”

Detectives charged a man (36) of no fixed addressed and a Pearsall man (43) with aggravated burglary and stealing.

They released a third person, pending further enquiries and the investigation is ongoing.
