A SKATE park with a flow bowl is expected to open in Eglinton within weeks.

Stockland WA general manager Col Dutton said the 400sq m skate park would be located near the sports field in the Amberton estate.

Mr Dutton said it would be large enough to accommodate several riders at the same time.

“It has been designed to cater for skaters of varying levels of ability and features a flow bowl that transitions into a flat area and offers various sized ledges,” he said.

“There will also be a shelter area with bench seating.”

Mr Dutton said the developer was providing a range of facilities for outdoor activities, including three practice cricket nets close to the skate park that Eglinton Cricket Club would use for training.

Skate Sculpture, LD Total and Carving Concrete created plans for the skate park.

The City of Wanneroo’s nearest existing skate parks are located in Butler, Clarkson and Two Rocks, with another proposed in Yanchep.
