FATHER Christmas will be wearing his biggest smile to help Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group in Mindarie this weekend.
Mindarie Marina will host its second Christmas Festival on December 12, with money raised from photos with Santa going towards the rescue group.
There will also be a raffle fundraiser for the group at the free event, which will see the boardwalk transform into a market with about 40 stalls and a hub of entertainment.
That includes live music at The Boat and Indian Ocean Brewing Company, and carolling on the boardwalk.
“We’re excited to be welcoming back Dynamix and Chris Murphy to our stages,” event manager Sarah Mallah said.
“They’re always such crowd pleasers and get everyone into the festive spirit, plus we’ll have a special live performance by Peter Moyes Project Ensemble.”
“The popular kids’ zone will be full of festive cheer this year with Santa, a crafty corner, bouncy castle and face painting.”
The boardwalk markets run from noon-6pm and feature speciality items, handcrafted jewellery, children’s clothes, food, fashion and accessories, plus arts and crafts.CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
