In A Spiritual Budget: Seven steps to financial freedom, the financial wellness coach shares experiences of growing up with parents with personal and financial hardship issues to help people move ‘beyond family patterns’.

Debbie, who will launch the self-published book in Mindarie on Saturday, June 29, put 18 months of work into the project and has already started another.

‘Some of us have forgotten to live simply,’ she said.

‘Life has become complicated and simplicity is diminished by the unrealistic expectations that society has imposed upon us.

‘In some ways we have allowed this to happen.

‘Through my journey of discovery and work as a financial counsellor, life coach and mentor, I have woven all that I have learnt and everything I have found successful into my book to assist others to also move beyond family patterns.’

Debbie said readers would learn what was important in life and how to make positive change towards financial and spiritual growth.

‘The book helps people create wholeness and self-awareness, offering empowerment instead of just dealing with the surface problem,’ she said.

Published by Balboa Press, Debbie will launch her book at The Healing Rooms in Bergen Way at 6.30pm.

She also plans a promotional tour through the US and Britain, including a launch in New York in October.
