Devon Comeagain and Alan McDonald were located on Wednesday morning, while Brendan Bartley and Darryl Councillor handed themselves into police early in the afternoon.

The mass escape occurred during a disturbance at the maximum security Greenough Regional Prison, which houses men and women, near Geraldton on Tuesday afternoon, WA Police said.

They urged locals to ensure their doors and windows are locked and, if driving in the area, to keep doors locked.

“As with all escapees, regardless of the prisoners’ backgrounds they may become unpredictable and should not be approached,” a statement said.

“WA Police are sending resources from Perth and various regional stations to support local officers.”

A large police operation remains in place to catch the remaining escapees who are still believed to be in the area, 400km north of Perth.

“Police remind the public to be aware of their personal safety if travelling or living in the vicinity.”
