Sergeant Gary Williams said detectives made the arrests after searching a house in Butler on October 24, and were continuing investigations. ‘We are currently executing Operation Sprint, which came about through a bit of a melee in a Subway restaurant in Jindalee which was captured on CCTV,’ Sgt Williams said.
‘That’s an ongoing operation ” there are still some outstanding offenders.’
Following the search, detectives charged a 28-year-old man from Butler with 13 counts of fraud, two counts of stealing, two counts of receiving stolen property, possessing a prohibited drug and giving a false name.
They also charged two women, aged 18 and 40, with possessing the prohibited drug cannabis with the intent to sell or supply.
A 17-year-old Mindarie boy who was at the house was charged with criminal damage, trespass and fighting in public to cause fear, with those charges relating to the Jindalee incident.
