Four people injured in head-on crash in Butler

TRAFFIC police are investigating whether speed and alcohol were factors in a crash in Butler overnight which left four people with injuries.

WA Police spokeswoman Ros Weatherall said a woman (39) was driving a Holden Malibu east along Jindalee Boulevard about 9.20pm on July 20.

“The woman continued through the traffic lights at the intersection of Marmion Avenue, before travelling onto Kingsbridge Boulevard where she lost control and collided head on with a Holden Commodore being driven by a 33-year-old man,” she said.

“The 39-year-old woman driver received a leg injury.

“The 33-year-old male driver also received leg injuries.

“His two passengers – a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old man – also received injuries in the crash.

“Police are investigating whether speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.”
