Free irrigation workshop planned in Clarkson

THE Water Corporation will hold a free waterwise irrigation workshop at Bunnings in Clarkson this Saturday.

The December 3 event will run from 1.30pm to 3pm and help residents program irrigation systems to rostered watering days.

“More than 40 per cent of household water use occurs outside the home and with summer upon us, now is the time to make sure your irrigation system is working efficiently,” spokeswoman Clare Lugar said.

“The workshop will cover efficient irrigation of lawns and gardens, subsurface watering and how to use your irrigation controller.”

People can also use the waterwise garden rewards program at the Neerabup Road store to buy mulch, soil improver and soil wetting agents.
