A FREE Christmas film and visit from Santa will mark the start of the festive season in Yanchep.
Jindowie Estate is hosting its annual Christmas movie night this Saturday at Kalbarri Park.
There will be children’s entertainment, screening of Dr Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as chosen by residents, and Santa will stop by.
Melissa Parker, of Yanchep, said she and her daughter Matilda (4) were looking forward to the event.
“It’s a great way to spend time with family and friends in a relaxed environment,” she said.
Jindowie Residents’ Association treasurer Mike Gould said the event continued to grow in popularity.
“With free face painting, a visit from Santa and a Christmas flick, there’s sure to be something for everyone,” Mr Gould said. “Every year this event proves to be more and more popular, with increasing members of the community joining in the festive spirit.”
Entertainment will start at 5.30pm, followed by the film being screened at 7.45pm.
Attendees can bring picnic baskets, beanbags and low-lying chairs.
