WORK on the Mitchell Freeway extension will stop for two weeks over Christmas before restarting next year.
The site is shutting down from December 19 to January 3, but there will be maintenance activities intermittently during this time.
From January, construction is expected to increase along Hester Avenue and Burns Beach Road. Earthworks will continue and noise walls are being installed on the western side of the freeway in Clarkson.
Other upcoming works include preparation to extend the pedestrian underpasses on both sides of Currambine train station and excavation for the Neerabup Road combined bus/pedestrian underpass in Clarkson.
