After discussions with the Two Rocks Yanchep Culture and Arts Networks (TRYCAN), Artsource and Capricorn Yanchep have teamed up to bring Lugg into the community for a month of free workshops and events.

‘This unique residency allows artists to base themselves at Capricorn Community House in the vibrant seaside community of Yanchep, drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings and engaging with local residents,’Artsource chief executive Gavin Buckley said.

Lugg will lead several activities, including photography group excursions, fabric print workshops, artist talks, a pop-up museum and sock doll workshops, starting on November 3, with a social event to outline plans.

‘I taught a photography-based story-telling workshop during my 2011 residency with the City of Wanneroo, and I would love to explore this as a means of community involvement, through residency group walks and workshop excursions around the local environment of coast and bush,’ she said.
