Narelle Pestana said she had signed up for the Telethon Adventurers this year and undertaken the Cape For a Cure challenge two weeks ago to walk 135km along the Cape to Cape Track.
Mrs Pestana and her husband Stuart, who did the Man vs Wild challenge in June, have planned the September 19 event to help reach her $5000 fundraising target.
She said they were lucky their son, Benjamin (6), was well, and wanted to help fund research for childhood cancers that other families faced.
