Goodfellas Hot Rod Club picnic well received

Picnic co-ordinator Jeff Hitchins said it was a great day, with about 220 hot rods and pre-1978 American cars on display.

‘We had people come from Geraldton and Bridgetown,’ he said.

Mr Hitchins said they had the usual bouncy castle, plus wildlife rescue, woodturners and community group stalls.

He said because of the growth in numbers, the club no longer organised a convoy from Kingsway Shopping Centre, and cars rolled into the park individually.

Mr Hitchins said a smaller number of cars would be on display for the City of Wanneroo’s second RetroRewind event in the national park next March.
