Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Somerly Primary School was one of 15 schools and community groups around Australia, and two in WA, to receive a grant for new turf under the Turf Australia and Junior Landcare perfect patch of green initiative.

Deputy principal Pamela Cassidy said the 600sqm area ” previously covered in woodchips ” would create a play area for the junior students.

‘We are planning to grass part of this area for soccer and football and place some fixed goals,’ she said.
