Grocers shocked but supply not affected

He told 6PR on Tuesday the independent sector had so far not been affected by the closing of the Carabooda tomato and vegetable farm, with grocers receiving full deliveries from their suppliers through the fruit and vegetable markets system.

He said it was a terrible thing to happen to 130 workers, but to put it in perspective the fruit and vegetable industry in WA had more than 10,000 people picking, packing and transporting produce through to markets.
