Co-organiser Julie Young said the drive was a great success.

‘It was a great team effort between the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Register nurses, the Leukaemia Foundation and the ECU Student Guild,’ she said.

She said because of the blood drive’s success, another one would be held at the University of WA on Tuesday, April 30.

People aged 18 to 45, and in good health, are encouraged to visit the campus and have a blood sample taken by the bone marrow register nurses.
