Yanchep District High School Aboriginal Islander education officer Judith Birchall said the August 5 visit was a Naidoc event and the canvas, once framed, would hang permanently at the school. Other activities on the day included Sharyn Eades presentation of Laurel Nannup's art exhibition "A story to Tell" to students in years 4 to 6 and Year 8.

"Laurel Nannup's exhibit is based on the art form of print making," Mrs Birchall said.

The Year 8 students will use lino to create their own art after viewing the presentation.
