Harry makes the leap

His mother Hannah Storey said he was due on March 2, so it was a surprise for her and partner Aaron Palmer to welcome their first son to the world about 6am on Monday.

Asked about how they will mark his birthdays as he gets older, the Eglinton resident said family and friends had joked about how it will save them money if Harry has a birthday only every four years.

“I didn’t even think about it in my head because I thought I would go late,” she said.

Harry weighed about 3kg and was 50.5cm long when he was born.

“He was a lot smaller than I thought he would be,” his mother said.

“I’m just super happy he is here.

“It’s been a nice experience so far; it’s been pretty easy for a first baby.”
