That’s the question Quinns Rocks resident Sharon Kelly is asking after a vehicle crashed into her daughter’s car parked outside the family home in Santa Barbara Parade on Saturday, April 12, at 9.30pm.

The P-plate driver of the Commodore was doing burnouts around a nearby roundabout when it lost control and smashed into the daughter’s parked Hyundai Getz, lifting it off the ground.

‘Two witnesses at a neighbour’s house saw my daughter’s car lifted up off the road and land on the lawn, just missing the front wall,’ Mrs Kelly said.

‘The driver then took off again and hit the next door neighbour’s car in the driveway before driving away.’

Mrs Kelly said she had reported the matter to Clarkson Police. Without a number plate and oil slick, the police were up against it.

‘The car’s a write-off and the driver responsible is probably going to get away scot-free,’ she said.
